Oh What A Nightmare is a story about our lives. It's a story about our successes and failures as young men in pursuit of a dream. For our entire lives, we have been chasing this dream. The dream has changed meaning, sound, medium and urgency throughout its life, and continues to change. This being the case, we cannot specify what the dream is anymore. This won't become clear until after it has existed and surely after its death. However, we can generalize the dream as hope and happiness equaling success, ending in love and life, which is spoke of long after breath has left its lungs, only to exist thereafter through sound waves, and motion, and color, forever.

Lyrics

Oh What a Nightmare

I walked a long and dark road
and I went alone now, all alone some how
And I left my life in the past
and I went alone now, on the wrong road some
How can I make it, up to you
It should have been different, it should have been
How can I try to explain
that I was just waiting, for you
I saw a man stealing gold I said I can do that
I thought for a moment
You’re never too late or too old
ain’t that what they’re saying
I don’t think I’m buying
no way I’m obliging
One of my dreams has come true
please do not wake me, I’ll sleep forever
Underneath that moon
without hopeless blessing, that I can believe in

Stop the Music

I’m getting pulled, Im getting pushed
Stop the music, Stop the Song
Everyone changed, Everyone’s impressed
Everyone’s good, right .Everyone’s gone
God or someone big. Do what you do
Give me an answer, One I know you can give
Everyone’s barking, Everyone’s climbing
Everyone’s good, right. Everyone’s gone
Right or left. Up or down, Sky or ground
Live or die, Live or die, Live or die
Live or die, Live or die, Live or die

Two Tired Travelers

Two tired travelers hungry and slow
Two tired travelers, one tired road
Two tired travelers miles from home
Hear the desert wind blowing
the diesel’s low drone
We’ve come like our father
we’ve driven so far
Under bright lighting sunlight and
bright yellow stars
And the lines on our faces
they tell where we’ve been
And our god keeps on calling
and we follow him
There comes one dark moment
as we cranked out the miles
A question on safety , a question of life
But you can’t fight the mother
who paints the blue sky
She’s the queen of what lives
she’s the queen of what dies

Everyman

Every man must sometimes fall
But every man don’t always know
That everything don’t always go his way
I have knocked on every door
And never stopped to ask what for
And I have changed so much with age
Have you?
But you, you fooled me, into believing
Into dreaming
You, you could be the devil
And I’m only foolish
And I may be blind

I Can't Change

I can’t change
Though they scream reconsider
Can’t change
All my life things have all been the same
I can’t change, no can’t change
Although my heart has been frozen
From pain. Left myself lonely
I buried my friends
All for the lies and the prices of fame
I can’t change, no can’t change
I can’t change
Though they scream reconsider
Can’t change
All the dreams of my childhood remain
And defy time and age

Once I Wanted to Be Famous

I don’t know what happened
Looks like a hoax from here
They say she’s multiplatinum
Makes more money flossing her teeth than I make in a year
Even I’ll admit it
She’s a very sexy thing
Curves and golden body
Thick shiny lips and round swinging hips
But it doesn’t mean she can sing

It’s a primetime tv special
Millions were made I’m sure
How nice of them to remind
Every hard working wife and young
Teenage girl that they’ll never be as pretty as her

Once I wanted to be famous
But I could never look as good
As she does on the front of a pop magazine
Once I wanted to be famous
But now I just want to sing

Young Man

Young man you’ve got stars in your eyes
You’ve go to see what makes them shine

I can walk I found it. I can see I found it
I can fight I found it. I can run I found it

Young man you’ve got clouds in our eyes
You’ve got to see what makes them blind

I've Got Your Gold

I’ve got your gold right here
I’ve got your gold right here
I’ve got your gold right here
I’ve got your gold

Don’t tell me what success is
Don’t tell me what living is
Don’t tell me what winning is
Don’t tell me anything

I’ve got your gold right here

Sweet Green Eyes

Go and have your fun
Sweet green eyes
And I’ll be waiting for you
When you’re done

Go and have your fun
Sweet green eyes
Don’t forget about me
While I’m gone

Never sail without my freedom
Freedom is your love
Never sail without my freedom
Freedom is your love
Never fight about my freedom
Freedom is your love
Never fight without my freedom
Freedom is your love

Go and have your fun
Sweet green eyes
And I’ll be waiting for you
When you’re gone

Please try To realize
Please try To realize

The Promise

If I had the courage
To act upon my sin
To bring out a feeling of hope
Buried deep within

To rally up my strength and my partners
My bravery, my friends
Would I still feel so all alone
After the biggest win

Angst, hunger and intelligence aside
Stripped of the best tools used
Victory to the one who hides
Entertaining you

Nothing said will change a thing
Nothing that you or I do
I never finished anything
I’d always leave too soon

And what about our promise
We promised that our pride would never be sold
But I don’t think you held up to your end
Its like you think promise die when people get old

Daybreak

I’ve been in the shade all day
Haven’t seen one fucking ray
Everything keeps me away
From doing right

Every cool kid in this place
Got some stupid thing to say
That is why I walked away that night

Biting my lip to fight
Fighting through the crowds to bite
Holding everything in sight
Daybreak

I’m doing right, I had a real good reason
Morning tip night, for every song we’re singing
I’m living right, I had a real good reason
Even into night

I’m gonna dig my way out of here
I’m gonna dig my way out of this

Melody Lord

I can’t live without you, alone I’m no good
When I think about you, die for you I would
No one behind you, no one before
Its you. I adore you. Melody lord

Don’t you think it’s kind of funny how
The hopelessness can walk away just like it came
And don’t you think it’s kind of funny how
The loneliness can walk away just like it came
And I believe it’s kind of funny how
The hopelessness can walk away just like it came
And we believe it’s kind of funny how
The misery that follows after does the same

Why do we do the things that we do
My road takes me far from you
Can’t you see the moon shining bright
Sometimes the moon is my only light

When I dream about you, asleep or awake
So young when I found you, when you found me
No one behind you, no one before
It’s you that I worship
Melody lord
Melody lord

Good News

In a world of nothing but bad luck and pain
Beat my misfortune and more of the same
If it pours profusely each time it rains
I pray to the heavens the weather will change

And bring you good news, and give you a light

In a time of goodbye that I will have not
I’ll give you whats left of all that I’ve got
To fight like a lion but never to stop
I’ll praise you and love you to my knees I’ll drop

And bring you good news, and give you a light

All the bottom of a long case of stairs
When the stain creeps in I’ll meet you there
To share with you stories and a breath of fresh air
And try to convince you to come up and care

And bring you good news, and give you a light
And bring you good news, and give you a fire
